Official Preliminary to Miss Florida,
Miss Martin and St. Lucie County is for young women 19 yrs. to 26 yrs. old
Local Candidates compete on stage for the Preliminary on Feb. 4, 2023 for not only college scholarships, but for the honored title of "Miss Martin County or Miss St Lucie County"
Then onto Miss Florida 2023, in the summer to represent our local community. If she wins Miss Florida, the next step is to head to nationals to compete for the prestigious Miss America title! For candidates who do not title hold officially, they are still invited to continue to participate in local chapter events and meetings, as official volunteers and future candidates for the following year - strengthening their skills and leadership opportunities.

- Private Interview - Judges meet with the candidates one on one for a 10 minute interview, to assess their ability to think and speak eloquently on a variety of topics. 35% of the total score. Professional Attire Required.
- Talent - Demonstrate your unique skill and talent on stage. Dance, Music, Cheer, Singing, and Acting/Theater...maybe even Karate or Trick Roping could be featured. Talent is a time to showcase unique skills and hard work. Routines can last up to 90 seconds - 35% of the total score. Attire/Costume appropriate for the talent.
- Social Impact Pitch - This is a highlight, to hear the heartbeat of the candidates for a good cause in the community. Public speaking, visuals, media, and a professional presentation on stage, while under pressure, demonstrates your ability to bring influence to a worthy endeavor. A title holder gives back as she serves within the local community. On stage presence with an audience and in front of cameras - is a essential for titleholders. 15% of total score. Attire Professional Outfit.
- Red Carpet/Evening Gown - The evening wear portion of the competition is designed for candidates to show On-Stage elegance, personal style, poise,, and even a little bit of their sparkle! 15% of total score.
- Opening On Stage Number - Candidates perform a piece of choreography presented a short time before the production and event. Not scored but important for introduction to audience! Attire is white.
- Candidates will need: Resume, Essay, and 5x7 or 8x10 Headshot
- Service, Style, Scholarship, Success - Shine Bright in 2022
